Workout at Crunch Fitness Buckhead

Weight Training

Weight Lifting Journal

My workout today was at the Buckhead location of Crunch Fitness. This gym had a cool atmosphere with a DJ playing and free snack foods for customer day. Believe it or not they had fried chicken and chicken wings, not what I would consider gym food. I guess they do this twice a month for a couple days each time. I enjoyed the DJ, he played good music and I had never been in a gym with a DJ so that made it a little different.

I started out with a group class called Urban Adventure, not sure why it is called that. The class was enjoyable, lots of sprints, and jumps. This gym has 2 basketball courts and the classed started there with sprints, walking lunges, split squats, and squat jumps, then it was down to the aerobics room where we did more jumping and hoping. It proved to be a good workout.

Because of the class I did the weight workout was not all that intense, plus this is an easy week. I did not keep track of the weight but I did make sure it was still a challenge. Except for the chins I did 3 sets of 10 for everything with :45 rest between sets. This is what I did.

chins ~ 5 - BWx5 rest 60sec
Pull downs ~ behind the head wide grip
Seated row ~ wide
Seated Row ~ close grip
Pull Down ~ Close Grip
Bicep 21's

All the best in your weight and programs.
Jason
