Strenght and Powerlifting

Weight Training

Training for strength is different then bodybuilding and size. For many athletes such as boxers, grapplers, wrestlers, powerlifters and other sports with weight categories athletes can not afford to gain excess bodyweight but require a great deal of strength need to learn to lift for strength not size. For these athletes there a various sample workout programs that will help you gain strength without the size that comes with a bodybuilder hypertrophy style weight training program.

If you want to look like a bodybuilder and gain some mass these free sample programs can prove to be valuable. Every weight lifter needs to change training routines and moving from hypertrophy to strength then back is a good mix. Even though these weight training programs won’t induce immediate hypertrophy increases they will be beneficial in building size. Once you finish this program and start a hypertrophy-based program, your new levels of maximal strength will allow you to train with significantly higher loads, thus leading to increased hypertrophy.
