I have recently moved to Atlanta and am in search of a new gym. I have tried a few but none to my liking. Today I was at a LA Fitness in DUNWOODY in Perimeter Mall. It was busy and did not have enough equipment. I do not think it is a gym for me.
I am kind of buying time, as when I find a place to work it will have a gym I can use. There are lots of opportunities for personal trainers in the area but I am looking to work with athletes. Until then I will look around and see what Atlanta gyms have to offer.
My workout went like this
Bench
5 - 275 x 5
Rest 1:30
It was easy, I do not have a spot so I have to keep the weight to a manageable load. I guess that is good as I will use this time as easy weeks.
Incline Press
3 - 90 x 3x3x3x3
Rest 1:30
This is something I saw in M&F this month so I thought I would give it a try. Do 3 reps rest 15 seconds and repeat 4 times, that is one set. After the set take your regular rest. It was fun so I will try it again but I am not sure how valuable it is. I can see it helping your strength because you can use more weight than you would for a straight set of 12, but the rest allows you to slightly rebuild your energy stores so I do not believe it will pack on mass like a typical straight set would. It is a nice change from the regular lift.
Iso Decline press
5 - 12 x 180
R= :45
Dips
3 - BW x 12
rest :30
Too Easy but they did not have a weight belt to add weight.
Cable X overs
3 sets of 12
